 CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES:
    1. Creating an IaaS: Infrastructure as a Service
      • List the benefits of the Oracle cloud IaaS and the features Solaris 11 provides for the cloud.
    2. Virtual Cluster Features
      • Use sysconfig to reconfiguring an existing Oracle Solaris 11 system used within the global zone and non-global zones.
    3. Shared Memory Interface
      • Configure shared memory parameters in Solaris 11.
    4. Oracle Database and Oracle Solaris 11
      • Install Oracle Solaris 11 on a physical stand-alone server for installation later of an Oracle Database.
    5. Oracle Solaris DTrace Plug-in
      • Install and use the DTrace plug-in the NetBeans IDE.
    6. Cloud Management Features
      • Manage the provided integrated distribution of the OpenStack collection of open software components for cloud computing.
    7. Monitoring Application Memory Use
      • Set the new user_reserve_hint_pct tunable parameter to provide system data for application memory usage.
    8. Zone Clusters
      • Build a regular Solaris 11 zone and identify the differences between versions 10 and 11.
    9. Storage Failure Detection
      • Configure two types of probe-based failure detection: 1 - No test addresses are configured through transitive probing 2 - Test addresses need to be configured.
    10. Resource Dependencies Management
      • Display a list of database resource dependencies.
    11. Oracle Solaris Studio
      • Use Image Packaging System (IPS) to install Oracle Solaris Studio in a non-global zone on an Oracle Solaris 11 system.
