DATES:

CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES:
    1. Db2 Programs
      • Compile and execute a program in the regular batch environment.
      • Convert the JCL to recompile for the Xpediter environment.
      • Display SQLCODE and SQLSTATE.
      • Use unconditional and conditional breakpoints to display and keep SQLCODE and SQLSTATE.
      • Debug a batch program using Xpediter and SQLCODEs.
    2. Security
      • Recognize the security issues associated with a Db2 program executing under Xpediter including dynamic SQL programs.
    3. Environment Setup
      • Setup of a program to execute under Xpediter.
      • Setup of Xpediter to execute Db2 programs.
    4. Debugging Techniques
      • Determine the location of an error.
      • Display SQLCA information after a problem SQL statement.
      • Locate the source of the problem, fix the problem, and recompile.
      • Locate the source of problem, fix the problem, and recompile with a second problem to be provided by the instructor.
