CONTENT AND OBJECTIVES:
    1. Database Administration Tasks
      • Create databases, tables, indexes, and aliases.
      • Alter a table and recreate an index.
      • Configure communication protocols to use with the DAS: Db2 Administration Server service and Db2 instances.
      • Create the necessary userids and groups.
      • Define an instance at installation time.
      • Increase the volume space associated with a tablespace.
      • Improve performance, update statistics, and reorganize the data.
      • Run the utilities: REORG, RUNSTAT, STOSTAT, COPY, and CHECK.
    2. Db2 Instance Creation
      • Configure the database instance.
      • Create a DAS: Db2 Administration Server.
      • Configure TCP/IP communications for the Db2 instance.
    3. Populating Databases
      • Exporting data from the database.
      • Importing data from files into database tables.
      • Loading data from files into database tables.
    4. Logical Design for Supporting Concurrency
      • Setting isolation levels.
      • Handling deadlocks.
    5. Recovery
      • Backing up a database.
      • Restoring a table.
    6. File System and Db2
      • Check the file system caching status.
    7. Authorization
      • Create users and group for application developers.
      • Create users and groups for application users.
    8. Operating System Functions
      • Collect information about the database.
