Create FILE commands and record layout for two files: 1- An automobile rentals master dataset. 2- Customer dataset.
Code the procedure.
System Overview
List the phases of program operations.
Basic Programming
Print multiple automobile listings sorted by various fields.
Select only cars that have: 1- Low mileage. 2- Automatic transmissions. 3- Built-in GPS unit.
Code complex extraction criteria using ANDs and ORs.
Calculate the amount of fuel charge based on the mileage; print out the bill.
Invoke a fuel charge calculation routine which will be coded and tested by the students.
Code a routine to format a detail line.
Printing Reports
Print reports with headings, footings, report title, and summary page.
Print a report with logic for every other line printed.
Create a detail report for sales.
Create a summary report for sales.
Create a detail/summary report for sales.
Code a report with multiple breaks: 1- Print special eye catchers after every break. 2- Perform additional calculations at a break.

Code, debug and test a simple macro for formatting a data item.

Populate and search an array.

Code a routine that passes values, performs chargeback calculations, and returns multiple values.

Bypass auto I/O processing and sequentially read a file.
